ASSD believes that to educate well rounded citizens of tomorrow, critical thinking and knowledge are important but fall short. It is important to cultivate in our students a sense of right and wrong, honesty, respect, empathy, integrity, so that they can become agents of much needed change in our world plagued by social injustice, gender inequality, poverty, and pollution. It will be their job to turn our world into a sustainable model community.
The National Council for Children and Adolescents (CONANI) is the Dominican Republic's public institution dedicated to protecting the rights and well-being of children and adolescents. Through this partnership, our students support children by participating in educational activities and tutoring, fostering learning, empathy, and meaningful connections.
The Friends Against Childhood Cancer Foundation (FACCI) provides comprehensive support to children with cancer and their families. As part of World Childhood Cancer Day, our students participate in fundraising initiatives through scarf sales, promoting compassion, solidarity, and awareness while learning the importance of supporting those facing difficult challenges.
Fundación Vida Azul is dedicated to protecting the Dominican Republic's marine and coastal ecosystems through environmental education and conservation initiatives. Our students take part in public beach cleanups, collecting waste while learning about responsible consumption, waste management, and the importance of caring for our environment.
Community Service Alliance (CSA) develops community service initiatives that improve educational spaces and strengthen local communities. Through this partnership, our students help transform public schools by participating in painting, art, and beautification projects, creating welcoming environments that inspire learning and growth.
